Bearskin Lodge

Bearskin Lodge is heralded as one of the most pristine wilderness resorts in the world.  Dating back to the 1920’s, the lodge continues to operate as a family-run business and includes many 4th generation guests.  It prides itself on being a place where deep wilderness offers a solitude experience, a chance to reconnect with nature, family and friends.  Located along the fabled Gunflint Trail in the Superior National Forest, the lodge offers boundless outdoor activities.  Summertime features picturesque canoeing, kayaking and hiking.  In the winter there is snowshoeing, dog sledding and over 70km of cross country ski trails.  Each of the 11 classic cabins is equipped with a well appointed kitchen and the lodge offers a mug of soup or chili during the day.  For world class dinning, the town of Grand Marais is a mere 20 mile drive, where one can also peruse art galleries and unique shops.
