“Groomed nordic trails available to both Fat Bikes and skiers, bike/ski rentals, fantastic wood fired pizza!“ - The Radways Team
The Nordic Center at Dog Creek Lodge is located in Olney, Montana, which is approximately 20 miles north of Whitefish, MT on Highway 93 N. Our trail system was established in 2014 and grooming began that winter. For the 2017/2018 winter season we will have up to 20 kilometers of trails groomed daily for both skating and classic skiing as well as fat biking.
Our trail system is unique in that it exists both on private land belonging to the lodge as well as on Stillwater State Forest land. Stillwater State Forest is basically held in a trust and all revenue is used for education. So a large portion of every trail pass we sell goes directly to our local schools. We can’t thank the great folks at Stillwater State Forest enough. Without their help our schools would not be some of the best in the country and our Nordic Center would not exist.
Be sure to visit Moe’s Joe Coffee/Pizza shop after your time on the trails. With a fire roaring, fresh baked goodies and wood fired pizza available along with your favorite hot or cold beverage, “The Shop” provides a welcoming atmosphere to warm up before, after or during your time in the woods.
Dogs are allowed on all of our groomed trails. We only have a few simple rules: They must be fixed, friendly and you must pick up after them (it’s pretty easy to find a stick and with a quick fling make sure that our trails remain fresh and clean for all of our guests). You must keep your pooch either leashed or under verbal control at all times.
Thanks for reading about Dog Creek Nordic Center. We look forward to seeing you on the trails!
